D.O.A. was formed in 1978, which probably makes front-man Joey "Shithead" Keithley the oldest Canadian punker who's still touring and recording after nearly 30 years.

That's staying power!

He and the boys took Kathedral by storm a couple Fridays ago, and it was clear that they haven't lost it yet. Most of the crowd weren't even born when D.O.A. were establishing the original punk scene in Canada, but they sure acted like diehard fans. The whole room was a stage... with more mohawks, tattoos, face metal, slam dancing and body surfing than I've seen in one place in quite some time.
